Is it possible to create diminutives for names that are not Russian? It seems that these do not exist.
For example, my name is Polly... would you do anything to it to make it affectionate?

Леонардик, Леонардушка, Леонардушек, Леонардусик, All of these names are informal, diminutive and affectionate. Леонардушка is my best choice (it’s almoslt like Иванушка)). A bit more formal shortened name that can be coined is Лёня.Quote:

Леонардушка in italian sounds very feminine but it's funny :D :D
Most probably it would be "Лёва/Лёвочка/Лёвушка" - they are diminutive to Лев which is a Rissian equivalent of Leo.Quote:
