    Teaching english in moscow

I am very serious about going to russia next year. Currently i'm a senior in college with most of my pilots certificates.I was wondering what options i had for teaching in an aviation university or anyplace for that matter. If anyone has ideas, options, or opportunities please respond.

Teaching English in Moscow is possible for virtually anyone with a degree (native speaker of course), but it greatly helps if you have a qualification specific to English teaching.
If I understand you correctly, you are trying to tie in your pilot training and look for something that links with that (pilot's University or something?) Curiously enough there is just such an establishment directly across the road from where I'm typing this

In any case, the best place I know to ask questions like this is www.eslcafe.com (post in the 'Russia' section).

    Удачи!

Studying at Moscow state (мгу) and working as a teacher on the side is a great idea - what's more it happens to be legal. There's мгимо as well. I don't know the details (e.g. what the requirements are, what the costs are) but I know at least one American who did that.

Getting a job as a teacher there is not going to happen.

www.eslcafe.com, international job discussion board, find the russia section and ask there. Be sure to tell them what your qualifications are.

МГУ и МГИМО are very prestigeous universitis, i guess everybody would like to work there, but there are much more universities which need english teachers also, you can go here http://www.muh.ru (in russian) - this university has already a teacher, but only one teacher for all the university, so possibly you ll have more chances to get the job there then in MGU. I was talking with the currant teacher and she liked working there.

Try Language Link in Moscow. They have a program for teaching certificates and they also place you in a job.
Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.
