Thread: converter QUESTIONS/PROBLEMS!!

ok i am leaving for russia on friday, and i am having a problem with this converter stuff. i have a panasonic dvd camcorder and my friend says that i ONLY need the outlet adapter for eastern europe.

this is what it says on the charger:
USA&CANADA 120V ~ FOREIGN 110-240V~50/60Hz 19 W
Output: 8.4V--0.65A (charge)
7.9V--1.4A (video camera)

but, today at radioshack, i was told that i needed an electricity converter thing too.

You will be fine with standard European electrical appliances, where are you from? England? If so, you will need the plug converter, the FEMALE part of the one in the middle in your picture. basically like if you went to any other civilized eurpoean country (you guys are weird, admit it). The only problem I had was that some of the older electrical outlets in Russia weren't wide enough for my laptop plug and I had to get a thick to thin converter... but all this you can buy in Russia if need be. Dude. No power converter needed.

I would think so... These things are designed to work in different countries, since it is mobile... just like your cellphone.
