Thread: bringing alcohol to Russia as gifts?

is there any problem and how much alcohol can a person bring to Russia as gifts? Can I bring 4 or 5 750ml bottles? do they charge an import tax at the airport?

I am not an expert, but here Ввоз алкоголя в the Internet says, that 3L is ok, and there is charge for extra 2L. You cannot carry more than 5L.

I had experience of entering to Russia with 4 750 ml bottles of alcohol that I bought in Duty Free and it was fine...
