'r's .. I'm not sure .. I'll listen carefully next time. Not too good, though.

Lindzi, you're a little tough there. Admittedly the pu tong hua and Cantonese are a way off from each other, but all the same, in common parlance ..
I heard a Korean named Boris speak Russian.
    "Давайте! Мы опоздали!"
    и
    "Сорииииииии!"
    his signature lines...

Then some n00bs in my group were talking about this one time a guy set a cat on fire then chopped its head off. I managed to explain that to him in some sort of Russian pantomime.
"Он делал так..." (Pretends to cut head off)
Boris - "Как тебе не стыдно!?"

And thats why the Koreans are cool.

If you're from New Jersey you may really have a problem. I was going to suggest that you speak the word WATER and you will have the rolled R right there in the middle, which we happen to spell T. But My wife's from there, and she used to say WORDER. Anyway, if you omit the extra R preceding the sound you make when you say that T, you will have a pretty close Russian rolled R. Howabout BETTER? I say those two Ts with a flip of the tongue, like rolled R.

Just be glad you're not learning Spanish, which has two of them!

lol. Wow for a few seconds I couldn't see any small letters, because I'm really farsighted and for small print even my glasses can't help me. Whenever I try to write small or something it happenes like this: hi
