Lindzi, you're a little tough there. Admittedly the pu tong hua and Cantonese are a way off from each other, but all the same, in common parlance ..

I heard a Korean named Boris speak Russian.

Then some n00bs in my group were talking about this one time a guy set a cat on fire then chopped its head off. I managed to explain that to him in some sort of Russian pantomime.
"Он делал так..." (Pretends to cut head off)

If you're from New Jersey you may really have a problem. I was going to suggest that you speak the word WATER and you will have the rolled R right there in the middle, which we happen to spell T. But My wife's from there, and she used to say WORDER. Anyway, if you omit the extra R preceding the sound you make when you say that T, you will have a pretty close Russian rolled R. Howabout BETTER? I say those two Ts with a flip of the tongue, like rolled R.

Just be glad you're not learning Spanish, which has two of them!
