Hello once more everyone.
I seem to have hit a snag.
When it comes to learning Russian, I've been extremely sluggish. I tried doing it alongside my normal studies, but cannot seem to get into it deeply, so to speak. Perhaps it's lack of initial understanding - I'm not sure.
I've been trying to follow the Princeton Course, since it seems to have alot of favor in terms of reliability and material. However, after a while just reading the Princeton text becomes disheartening and tiresome. I suppose if I was living in Russia I'd be more hard-pressed to get my act together, but as it stands I'm just not sure how to study it. I want to learn it - I really do, but I always seem to deviate when it comes time to study. I also have no one to talk to in Russian on a regular basis, so either I talk to myself (which is sometimes odd) and stay up really late or get up really early to talk to my Russian pals.![]()
Just not sure how to really get my feet wet with this language. It's just so hard to really grasp it tightly - to get enough of a grip so you can start eating the rest of the language.
Thoughts?
