Hello once more everyone.
I seem to have hit a snag.
When it comes to learning Russian, I've been extremely sluggish. I tried doing it alongside my normal studies, but cannot seem to get into it deeply, so to speak. Perhaps it's lack of initial understanding - I'm not sure.
I've been trying to follow the Princeton Course, since it seems to have alot of favor in terms of reliability and material. However, after a while just reading the Princeton text becomes disheartening and tiresome. I suppose if I was living in Russia I'd be more hard-pressed to get my act together, but as it stands I'm just not sure how to study it. I want to learn it - I really do, but I always seem to deviate when it comes time to study. I also have no one to talk to in Russian on a regular basis, so either I talk to myself (which is sometimes odd) and stay up really late or get up really early to talk to my Russian pals.
Just not sure how to really get my feet wet with this language. It's just so hard to really grasp it tightly - to get enough of a grip so you can start eating the rest of the language.
Thoughts?
