is there a problem with the site? Although new posts are indicated in the left hand column when the individual discussion groups come up, these posts are not shown?

I can't access anything after tuesday! is there something I should be doing?
Could you be more specific with the description of the problem? What pages were you browsing?

I tried again this morning and I still can't access the general discussion or any of others it seems on the main menu except for this one. Well, I can get in to the discussion but the last posts are still showing as tuesday when the main menu clearly shows much more recent posts than that.
Still can't get the most recent posts but my daughter suggested I press the refresh button on each page I want updating and that works. She is now about to erase the history of sites accessed to see if cleaning things up will make a difference. I presume I'm the only person this has happened to!
I don't clearly understand your problem but maybe it is something with your browser (which one do you use?). It probably takes old pages from its cache instead of updating.
Could you be more specific please? A snapshot of you screen might help. What page were you at? What link did you click? Which page did it lead to? What links worked? Which ones did not?

I think it is a problem with the browser. Tu-160 is right. For some reason it kept going to the cache when I entered the site so brought up an old screen instead of the new one. On the main forum menu on the right hand side - all the posts were showing recent dates. If I clicked on General Discussion the dates suddenly went a few days backwards and the most recent post that I knew should have been there - wasn't. This happened on all the different parts of the main menu except this part - interestingly this section is not one that I access often so that supports the browser issue. When I press the refresh button whichever page I am on updates itself. Today all seems back to normal. I think if it happens again I will stop trying to access for a couple of days and see if it helps.
You should apply the golden rule with debugging errors like this: having established that the error is on your side, and not with the server you're accessing, you should ask the question: what have I changed recently?
e.g. have you installed a firewall or other net-related software? have you changed your connection settings?

If you use Internet Exploder then go to Service>>Browser Settings, click the button “Adjust” (or similar word because I have Russian version) in the middle of the window. There are four radio buttons under “Check pages for updates”: “every time I visit a page,” “every time I start the browser,” “automatically,” “never.” “Automatically” must be enabled.
Tu-160 thanks but when I checked it is already set on 'automatically ' so it can't be that. Waxwing - no one in the family has changed any settings, installed firewalls etc for a while and this problem has only come up over last few days. It is still being awkward tonight but the refresh will bring up the most recent page. I did wonder about deleting all the history of all web pages visited ever - to see if that helped. I'll then probably get into trouble with one of the other users in the family who'll decide they need to check up on something they looked at months ago. Thanks for trying to help guys - by the way I like Tu-160s 'Windows Exploder' I shall call it that from now on -much better than explorer
