Thread: phpBB Question

I'm setting up a little blog on my site using phpBB that I'm going to use to write about my trip to Russia (among other things), but I'm finding that the forum subjects, when I type in cyrillic all get converted to ASCII Codes like &5412;

Can anybody advise on how to fix this? It obviously works correctly on this site...

Just the topics.

Forum categories and name work fine. So do message postings. The only problem is with the message subjects.

Try changing the file "lang_main.php" in the "/language/lang_english" directory. Insert "windows-1251" instead of what it says for ASCII or, most likely, 1252 encoding.

Thanks! That did the trick.

FYI, it had "$lang['ENCODING'] = 'iso-8859-1';" previously.
