    The cool old smilies are getting replaced with some boring new smileys in my posts.

    Смайлики глумятся. Я ставлю один, а когда печатается пост, то появляется другой. Захожу в редактирование - опять первый. И хотелось бы, чтоб смайлы были доступны из окна быстрого ответа.

    Да, их надо как-то в панель быстрого доступа вынести. Там где линейка значков Quick Reply добавить смайлики. Там места много.
