Thread: The spamers have started taking hostages.

This is what I got in my daily share of spam yesterday.

А что заказать-то просят?
Может скинемся всем миром и спасем собачку?

My spam is never quite that interesting. Bob Hirschfield, JD just sends me offers to buy videos about defending myself in court.

Хорошая идея! Скинемся всем форумом и заставим их грузить аватары тем, у кого с этим проблемы, тем более, что в последнее время такие случаи участились.

By the way, I think it would be interesting for the learners of Russian to know about the idiomatic meaning of "заказать кого-то". It means to oder the assassination of that poor кого-то.

Errr? A грузчик is someone who loads things, right? So are they asking you to assassinate loaders or order loaders?

Unfortunately, I could not understand the meaning of this sentence very well. "We'll throw ourselves forward as a whole forum and make them load avatars with those who have problems with this, what's more, that in recent times these happenings have become more frequent."

I think I got a little thrown off by the avatar part.

To oder loaders, of course. Why on earth to assassinate them? Those who work badly? Then why only loaders? But on the second thought what to expect from people who are ready to murder an innocent doggy. Maybe they are The International Loaders Assassination Association.

Let our forumers have a whip-round (in order to hire these loaders) and make them (loaders) upload avatars for those who have problems with this, especially since in recent times these happenings (problems with avatars uploading) have become more frequent.

To order loaders? That's weird...I mean, most of the spam you get in the US has to do with internet stuff. They ask you to participate in some pyramid scheme, or buy this stuff online, etc. etc. but never to order from their loading company. I mean, it would be kind of weird if US shipping companies started sending spam to get you to hire them...

Intresting. In Russia it's rather usual for small companies. Spam advertising is the cheapest and small companies are not very rich so it's a perfect way for them. There are also spamers who offer the companies their spamming service.
