Important note: The nouns Bob listed do NOT all have the same patterns of stress-shifting in their OTHER singular and plural cases!

For example, the accusative singulars of нога and рука are ногу and руку. But the acc.sg. of война is войну, not войну.

On the other hand, the dative plurals of нога and рука are ногам and рукам, but for война it's войнам, not войнам.

Why? Possibly because God is a Russian and hates you for your sins...
