In Russian lessons, teachers sometimes may pronounce the Г as G when it should be pronounced V in order to make it clear how it's spelt.
Nah, it was Russian lit and she definitely did not make it easy to learn Russian - but we memorized more pieces of Russian literature than I've ever learned in English.

Maybe it's some sort of Tsar Ivan speech, because I think she was born in that era.
