kwatts, it's fine in context. It may sound wrong to you but it's not.
When unreal me's, you's, he's, she's etc. are created, the definate or indefinate article must be used to distinguish between them.

This sentence is grammatically correct I believe.

And in your example, the parts you put in bold were fine, you just made grammar mistakes in other places.
