I'd say that this variant sounds neutral while tohca's variant has an emotional nuance. I think in colloquial spech I would use tohca's variant. The sentence sounds very natural to me, even without an "А" at the beginning. Actually the sentence with "А" just means something a bit different.

3) Ваш сын рожи мне корчит.
He he. According to your logic it should be "Ваш сын корчит мне рожи". But you subconsciously chose the more "vivid" sentence. :P
