Thread: -нибудь, -либо, -то in negative constructions

Автор книги, которую я читаю, высказывает, что в основном нельзя употреблять "нибудь, -либо и -то" в отрицательных кнострукциях. Вот две типичных отрицательных конструкции:

1. Никогда никому ни о чем не говорите!

2. Я его там никогда не видел.

А как насчет тех отризательных конструкций, которые имеют "нибудь" и т.д.? Автор пометил такие конструкции, но не объяснял на примере:

"Words with the indefinite articles нибудь, -либо, and -то are almost never used in negative sentences in Russian. If such words are used in negative sentences, they bear stylistic nuances which are beyond the range of a student of intermediate Russian" (my emphasis).

Каковы эти стилистические оттенки? Никто не может объяснить на примере отрицительные конструкции с частиц "нибудь, -либо, и то"?

Действительно, трудно придумать такие примеры.

Here are some examples I can think of.

With -то:
Наверное, кто-то просто не хочет работать. (Probably someone just does not want to work). - Sound with sarcasm, because here "кто-то" implies you know who you mean, and you think the listener knows it as well. Most often, it implies that the listener is "someone" who does not want to work

With -либо:
Я не собираюсь что-либо менять. (I am not going to change anything). - Sounds more categorically than "Я не собираюсь ничего менять", also involves some official tone.

With -нибудь:
Я не хочу кого-нибудь обидеть. (I do not want to offend anyone). Has almost the same meaning as "Я не хочу никого обидеть". However, the latter is more directed to a group of people as a whole while the former implies a single individual person, I'd think.
The same as
Смотри, не упади где-нибудь! (Be careful not to fall somewhere). It's almost the same as "Смотри, нигде не упади!" But again, the former (with -нибудь) more implies I mean there can be only one place where you can fall.

Anyway, all those constructions are not so frequently used.
Other native speakers are welcome to correct me and add more explanations.

When you write "I took a bag, a hat, and an umbrella" in English, you need a comma before the last item in the list. But in Russian you don't. "Я взял сумку, шляпу_ и зонтик".

EDIT: Of course, this works only if you use the "и".

Actually you don't need that comma in English, it is not mandatory.

What I hate about English commas most of all is that they're almost always "optional" and "not mandatory". After all, I don't care about English, but in Russian, it is not so! There are strict rules in Russian!

English has strict rules only about where no commas go. Russian is like German in that regard, we define where they have to be.
