Thread: Нибудь and либо

This is sort of a follow-up to the earlier question I wrote about negative pronouns. I referred to a grammar reference, which seemed to say that нибудь and либо have the exact same usage/meaning. Is this so -- if not can you explain why? Is one more common? And finally do you necessarily have add a hyphen between this and the word it modifies?

Yes. Remember the following:
"Кое-, -либо, -то, -нибудь -- про дефис не позабудь"
