Thread: Three sentences in the future tense

Please explain the differences among the following :

Двери открывются. (In the sence of Immediate future like a Metro annoucement )

Двери будут открываться.

Двери откроются.

This sentence can be understood three ways:
1. The doors are about to open.
2. The doors are opening right now.
3. The doors open (on a regular basis).

Generally, it should be known, that the doors open. You might say двери открывются направа, or the doors open on the right.

It is known that, at some point in the future, the doors are going to open. This will not be the completion of the action, so it can be expected that they will probably close afterward...

Bravo, randem! There's one mistake: you should say "Двери открываются справа" because you talk about the location of the doors. E.g. "находиться справа" vs "повернуть направо"

That's a better explanation than mine. Mine was sloppy. Trying to explain imperfective/perfective in just a few words is kind of a lost cause.

They say: "Осторожно, двери закрываются." & "Следующая станция ........, платформа справа" in a Metro announcement.
