    "гадкий мальчик" - очень даже устойчивое выражение Вполне подходит.
    In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    Yep, good one. It could be used to show affection to a boy. However, if you use it in the dimunitive form гаденький, that describes someone who is really low and trashy.

    Твоя мысль ясна, но только все равно "Я проучу этого уродливого мальчика" звучит совершенно не по-русски.

    "Уродливый мальчик" - это звучит немного сочувственно. Например, если я увижу такого в больнице.
    А про того, кто у меня что-то украл, я скажу просто - "УРОД!!"

    What about -- Я покажу уроду, где раки зимуют! (Lit., "I'll show that freak where the crayfish spend the winter!")

    AFAIK, this is roughly similar to a mobster's threat that someone will "sleep with the fishes", because crayfish hibernate in the mud at the bottom of rivers or lakes.
