Thread: "you suck!"

I was watching Futurama in Russian, and heard one of the speakers say something that sounded like either дастал or тастал. It was said at the same time as one would say "you suck!", and I was just wondering about the exact spelling and all that good stuff.

достал.

I don't think "достал" is a good translation for the phrase.

This is the name of an actual town in Ивановская область at latitude 57.25499 and longitude 41.89931. You know, it doesn't look like so bad of a place.

My guess is that Хреново ( a village name ) has an accent on the first syllable: хрЕново but "this sucks" has it on the second one: хренОво.

BTW Pravit, www.freewebs.com doesn't allow external links to files it hosts and redirects back to referer page, i.e. this one. But there is a way: just copy/paste http://www.freewebs.com/pravit/khrenovo.jpg into address string to get rid of referer info in http request header.

But a road sign would still be really funny. Those two I mentioned are near the town Сасово, alexei, you should go!

Unfortunately, the only towns I found with the name "Khui" are in Pakistan.

And as VM once pointed out, there is a town in Belgium called Huy.

Thanks for the suggestion but it's pretty far away. Maybe the sign "река Вобля" will be enough? :) It's in the Moscow region between Moscow and Ryazan, the highway M5 Moscow-Chelyabinsk.
