Thread: Word usage and Vocabulary builder

I would like to try and start a new series of threads to help users learn the Russian vocabulary. The idea is that everybody would join to post examples of usage for vocabulary words. We could later sort out those words into a separate section. The original poser would give a word or and idiom and everyone to reply with an example of usage and possibly a translation, or any other useful information on how to use the word or phrase.

For example, the word "сти́льный".

Original author starts a new thread:

Vocabualry: сти́льный
сти́льный ( STEEL'-niy ) stylish, classy

User1 replies with:

Жанна любит стильную одежду.
Zhanna loves stylish clothes.

User2 replies with a quiz:

What does "стильный" mean?

A. popular
B. stylish
C. fashionable
D. style
E. class

User3 replies with:

Андрей купил стильные чёрные очки.
Andrey bought stylish black glasses.

and so on... If there is an idiom or a proverb with the word "стильный" then someone would post it eventually. The idea is to give as many examples and information to help others learn the word, as possible.
