    warm up (noun)

    How do you say "warm up" in Russian?

    Like, "he played well during warm up, but when the game actually started he played quite badly".

    also possible разогрев. Они разогреваются (разминаются) перед игрой - they are warming up before the game.

    quite interchangable.

    In specific contexts it can be тренировка. (like training a certain skill, scheme)

    the idea is that разогрев implies physical warming process,

    разминка, разминать may imply intellectual type of games, intellectual warmup, yknowwhatImean....

    Сейчас Я нашёл тоже выражение: разгреаю обед = re-heat lunch.
    Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.
