    Verbal adjectives

    Can someone please explain and give examples of the following words?

    Present active verbal adjective: читающий
    Present passive verbal adjective: читаемый
    Past active verbal adjective: читавший, прочитавший
    Past passive verbal adjective: читанный, прочитанный
    Verbal adverb: читая, прочитав

    В эту ночь все огни погасли в Джорджии
    В эту ночь невиновного человека повесили
    Не доверяй тайну никакому деревенщине-адвокату
    Ведь руки городского судьи в крови

    present active: READING
    Мальчик, читающий книгу (вместо "который читает")
    The boy reading the book

    present passive verbal a:
    is being read:
    The book read by students..
    Читаемая книга учениками

    past active:
    Had been read
    The boy who had read this book...
    Мальчик, прочитавший эту книгу....

    past passive:
    was read...
    The book read by me...
    Книга, прочитанная мной...

    past verbal adjective

    used as GERUND (result is point out)
    Having read the book, he went to the kitchen to eat a bit
    Прочитав книгу, он пошёл на кухню чтобы поесть.

    Exceptions are verbs of motion like "to go"
    Приходя домой, он позвонил ....
    Having arrived at home, he called....

    another one is "to bring"
    Принеся яблоки, она ...
    Having brought the apples, she...

    present verbal adjective
    читая: (long action, GERUND)
    Читая книгу, она ....
    Reading the book, she -..


    comparable to "Gathering the apples, he fell off the tree"
    Собирая яблоки, он упал.....
    no pain, no gain

    Gib immer 100% bei der Arbeit: 12% am Montag, 23% am Dienstag, 40% am Mittwoch, 20% am Donnerstag, 5% am Freitag ...

    My English isn't so good, зато с русским все в порядке ))
