    translating...

    I'm translating a letter from the mother of a child with cerebral palsy from Russian to English. She's hoping for financial assistance for treatment from Westerners. I don't understand a lot of the medical terms, though, so I would be grateful for your help.

    1. "дочка родилась доношенной с весом 2800..."
    What does "доношенной" mean?

    2. "Врачи поставили диагноз: в/утр гипоксия, ПП ЦНС, мышечная кривошея." Anyone know what those things are in English?

    3. синдром двигательных нарушений

    4. спастический дипарез

    5. спастическая диплегия

    6. This isn't medical, but I don't understand this phrase: "приходится обращаться к Вам, добрым людям, за помощью, за какой бы то ни былой."

    Thanks!

    Доношенной - means that she was born exactly in the proper time, that she's OK.
    ant = недоношенной

    За какой бы то ни было - means "for any help"

    She asks for help of any kind.

    The rest are medical terms and abbrevs. I suggest you to find a Russian doctor who could translate them. You could also find a medocаl site devoted to ДЦП curing. Something like this site http://www.cerebral-palsy.ru/
    Единственное, что люди любят давать бесплатно - это советы.
