    Some sentences from http://www.russian.language.ru/test.htm

    Please check if the underlined words are correct and also check if my translations are ok. Спасибо!

    1. Как ты думаешь, что он всегда мечтает?
    Do you think that he dreams all the time?

    2. Ты любишь делать подарки свои друзья.
    You like to make gifts for your friends.

    3. Если вы хотите поступить в институт, вы должны хорошо сделать экзамены.
    If you want to enter the university, you must do well in your exams.

    4. Мы с подругой решили пойти в театр и договорились встретиться у метро.
    My girlfriend and I decided to go to the theatre and to meet at the Metro.

    5. Друг посоветовал мне поступить в этот университет.
    A friend advised me about the university.
    Not very sure what поступить mean in this sentence.

    6. После каникул дети вернулись в город.
    After the holidays, the children return to the city.

    7. Заходи ко мне в некоторое время!
    Come and see me sometime.
    What if you replaced the underlined word with the following words любое or каждое or все. The meaning will change, but will the sentence still be correct, grammatically?

    Ты считаешь, что он всегда мечтает?
    Считаешь ли ты, что он всегда мечтает?
    Do you think that he dreams all the time?

    2. Ты любишь делать подарки своим друзьям.

    3. Если вы хотите поступить в институт, вы должны хорошо сдать экзамены.
    If you want to enter the university, you must do well in your exams.

    What do you think he dreams about all the time?
    2. Ты любишь делать подарки своим друзьям?
    You like to make gifts for your friends.
    You missed the question mark in the test, so you need to rewrite your translation.

    3. Если вы хотите поступить в институт, вы должны хорошо сдать экзамены.
    If you want to enter the university, you must do well in your exams.

    4. Мы с подругой решили пойти в театр и договорились встретиться у метро.
    My girlfriend and I decided to go to the theatre and to meet at the Metro.

    5. Друг посоветовал мне поступить в этот университет.
    A friend advised me about the university.
    Not very sure what поступить mean in this sentence.
    поступать в университет — join / enter the university
    поступать в школу (о ребенке) — enter / start school
    поступать на работу — get a job
    поступать на военную службу — join up [enlist] in the army

    6. После каникул дети вернулись в город.
    After the holidays, the children returned to the city.
    This is the past tense.

    7. Заходи ко мне в любое время!
    Come and see me anytime.
    What if you replaced the underlined word with the following words любое or каждое or все. The meaning will change, but will the sentence still be correct, grammatically?
    "любое" is the only correct answer in this test.

    "любое" is the only correct answer in this test.
    "Заходи ко мне как-нибудь" is correct too, but it's more colloquial.

    Нет такого в тесте -

    Заходи ко мне в ... время!
    a) некоторое b) любое c) каждое d) все

    Ясно. Просто я первым увидела Ванино сообщение. Думала, это один из вариантов.

    Is всегда synonymous with всё время here? Or is it more correct to say,....
    Ты думаешь, что он всё время мечтает?
