Yes, it does. Your sentence and translation are correct. Well, I don't know if there are any other common uses of во время + time.
Maybe,
во время еды, во время ужина, во время урока
But these word combinations seem to concern the same use as you mentioned.

Их is the accusitive form of Они, which means 'them'. Its the direct object of the verb 'потерял', so it has to be in the accusitive case.
