    old tricky

Но его-то нам и предстоит провести.

What does предстоит провести mean here? It's like they have to trick someone or something...

Need a wider context here. Because "провести" has two meanings: "to trick someone" and "to organize something". Нам предстоит провести концерт - we have to organize a concert. Нам предстоит провести учителя - (sounds a little weird, because the word "предстоит" belongs to the quite elevated style)- we have to trick a teacher.

Its just a really bad translation of Harry Potter it doesn't surprise me that the word choice sounds weird.

    Thanks Gerty!
