    license called off

Firstly I doubt whether this is the correct phrasal verb in English (please an English speaker).
    Secondly how is translated.
"The Russian Association of Lawyers called of the license of his legal company" or "The operating license of the bank was called off by the Central Bank"
Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

    IMHO

"The Russian Association of Lawyers closed his legal company" or "The operating license of the bank was canceled by the Central Bank"

I guess here this means revoked. We would normally say revoked, "called off" seems inappropriate here.

Ok. The word is revoke. I should conclude that there is not a phrasal verb for this verb.

Just some examples I found via ABBYY dictionary:

revoke a permit -- аннулировать разрешение
to revoke certificate — лишать сертификата
revoke a driver's license — лишить водительских прав
    to revoke a decision/a law — отменять решение/закон

For this stuff the word I've heard is отменить (concerning real estate, for instance).

Говоря о лицензии, можно употребить следующие выражения:

отозвать лицензию (похоже на кальку от call off, надо уточнять),
    отменить лицензию,
    аннулировать лицензию,
    лишить их (организацию) лицензии

много разных слов (по смыслу то же, что cancel, annul, revoke, etc.)

Центробанк отзывает лицензии у банков. Причём очень часто
    Lenta.ru: Экономика: Банки: ЦБ отозвал лицензии у «Экопромбанка» и «Арт-Банка»
