Are these two Russian to English translations correct?
Местность была плоской, как далеко, как мог видеть глаз.
(The terrain was flat as far as the eye could see.)
Есть две основные дамбы вдоль русла реки.
(There are two major dams along the course of the river.)
Grammar always confuses me, but in particular "русла реки" seems like it might be redundant since русла means riverbed and река means river.
