посреди/среди
In contrast to «посреди», the preposition «среди» could mean «one of» or «a member of»: «среди элементов множества», «среди композиторов я бы хотел выделить Чайковского».
близ/вблизи/возле
«(Плохо/хорошо) видеть вблизи», «рассматривать вблизи»
Here «вблизи» is an adverb. I've never heard of using «близ» или «возле» in this way.

близ/вблизи/возле
вблизи is adverbial. близ and возле are prepositions, they need genitive. возле is more general. близ is archaic.
"Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?

sperk, I have both a grammar book and a dictionary. But they don't tell me if there's a difference between the words. Близ, вблизи, and возле are all just listed as "near" - same with the other ones. I'd never know what the real difference was unless I asked here. ^^
