ok. now i'm totally confused.
Wiktionary explains the difference between пла́вать/попла́вать and плыть/поплыть as between 'concrete' and 'abstract' verbs. What does this mean? Is this common i.e. are there other verbs which come in a 'concrete' and also and 'abstract' flavour?
Is this not just about multi-directional (пла́вать) and uni-directional (плыть) or is there a whole new category of concrete v. abstract?
