Thread: a couple of useful words

гордый = proud.
This sounds very similar to the Spanish word "gorda" which means fat.

смелый = courageous, daring
This sounds like "smelly" as in "smelly feet".

честный = honest
Sounds a little like "chesty" as in a "chesty woman".

гордый, смелый и честный человек
proud, courageous and honest man
sounds like a
gordy (fat), smelly, chesty man

English word "who" sounds like ... It's better not to continue

I could hear my wife laughing her head off in the bathroom this morning, and when I asked her what she was laughing at she pointed me to the bottle of hand cream I'd bought her when I did the shopping a few days ago.
