    comparison in Russian

how would you compare things in russian? for instance:

"my cat is better than your cat", etc.

    perhaps:

    "Моя кошка лучше твoю кошку"?

    just a guess...
Иисус жил того, чтобы любить вас, а умер, чтобы спасти вас.

    you either use:
    лучше, чем что-л.
    или
    лучше чего-л.

Моя кошка лучше, чем твоя кошка .
    Моя кошка лучше твоей кошки.
Заранее благодарю всех за исправление ошибок в моём русском.

ok cool! then the second noun phrase should be in the genetive as opposed to the accusative. The reason i thought it was in the accusative is because i saw an example on lingvo that used the word "меня" as the second noune phrase and wasn't sure if that was accusative or genetive. So i just guessed...anyways:

    большое спасибо!

    Еще можно (более живой язык):
    Моя кошка лучше, чем твоя.
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.
