What does шубка mean in the following sentences?

-Мой отец вернулся из Парижа и привез мне в подарок норковую шубку. Шубка сидела на мне великолепно.

    Шубка - fur coat
    норковaя шубкa - mink coat

My father came back from Paris and brought me a mink coat. The coat fit me perfectly.

Yes, it comes from word шуба. But here, it sounds like "a little fur coat".

Not at all. The "-к-" suffix in this case means endearment.
Most diminutive suffixes can also express endearment (depending on context).

Not necessary. If I understand endearment properly.

    For example, from police protocol:

    "На убитой надета норковая шубка".

Can you say that there is endearment here?

You will never find шубка in police protocol.

You can find a lot interesting words in police protocol. And "норковая шубка" из quite common phrase.

"На полу в комнате лежал труп, рядом была найдена жена трупа и его дети."
