I get that 1000, 1000000 (...) work in a specific way - such as "с 2000 рублей";

What about 1000 in particular, though?
I'm wondering how to deal with the following (random) sentence:

Она приехала с 1000 руб. в кармане.

In class, we were talking about ...тысячью рублей...(class-room solution)
I feel that the class-room solution sounds like 1000 and something around 1000 and does not exactly go to 1000.

Couldn't I also say ...тысячью рублями...? (in case we were talking about exactly 1000 rubles)



Which is correct?
