A spoker of Kazan University is telling to new students that to this University assist persons from the four cardinal poins of Rusia and says: Здесь приходят изучать из самого Севера, из Архангельска; из самого юга, из Выскяка; из дального востока, из Хабаровса. But this Выскяк must be wrongly heard. What is its right name? Thank you.

what is your native language? (Not that it has anything to do with your question, but confusing a clearly articulated B with a V is something that Spanish speakers are prone to do, so I am just curious).
. And there is no difference in Spanish language between "b" and "v" in pronunciation; however in some eastern provinces (Castellón, Valencia and Alicante) these consonants are pronounced usually different and there is no possible confusion between "bota", (ботинок) and "(él) vota", (on голоcует). They sound like in English or French.
