A related question which doesn't answer all my doubts. Ответы@Mail.Ru: Почему у глагола читать деепричастие прошлого?
I was taught at school that you create Деепричастие прошедшего only from the perfective verbs. So прочитать - прочитав.
But why is in Wiktionary (and for example here) the form "читав" present. Is it a rarely used form, or is it inexistent? In reference to the last post, how should you translate those "евши" деепричастия? I feel confused...
Thanks!
