Как сказать это:
The baby snuggled close to its mother- Ребёнок * близко к маме
I like to sneak into my sister's room and steal her clothes- Мне нравится * в комнату сестры и взять её одежду

Ребёнок прижался к маме

I can't think of a direct equivalent of snuggle in russian, so close in this context has to go. You can say Ребёнок прижался поближе (closer) к маме.

Мне нравится прокрадываться (забираться украдкой) в комнату сестры и брать её одежду

The difference between брать and взять is the difference between something habitual and something you can only do once.

She will go into hysterics. - она закатит истерику.

I'd say "Не ной!" (don't whine).
"Хватит ныть!" (stop whining).

Generally, a sentence "If smth happens (in the [nearest] future), the other thing will..." is translated as "Если она не примет/будет принимать (future case) лекарство, у неё будет истерика (у неё будет приступ истерики)". Consider a typical mistake of a Russian person: "If smth will happen, the other thing will..."

Saibot's "она закатит истерику" is very good. It is informal and somewhat derogatory, and so is "to throw a fit".

Probably not "долго" but "давно". Then it makes sense.

I thought about it. Yeah, it makes more sense but it seems "слова" doesn't fit here well. Maybe "Я давно читаю ваши сообщения"?

I thought about "давно" here too but decided that it would mean that I read the words not long ago instead of what I intended, which was, I have been reading your words for a long time.

just thinking about it, does the (what i gather to be) old slang word душегуб (killer) come from душегубка?

Oh, I see what you mean. It's an interesting question. Here's what I think:

Я давно читал твоё(и) сообщение(я) = I read your message(s) a ling time ago.
Я давно читаю твои сообщения = I've been reading your messages for a long time.

Я долго читал твоё сообщение = I spent a long time reading your message (because the message was big or it was pretty difficult to understand or I read it slowly for some reason etc)

Я долго читал твои сообщения - sounds ambiguous to me, it could mean
*1) I've read your messages for a long time
2) It took me a long time to read your messages

Я долго читаю твои сообщения - sounds ambiguous as well
*1) I've been reading your messages for a long time
2) It takes me a long time to read your messages (because they are usually long or make me think or pretty difficult to understand etc)

Я долгое время читал твои сообщения = I've read your messages for a long time.
Я долгое время читаю твои сообщения = I've been reading your messages for a long time.

* - sounds not good to me.
