Words in italic I was not sure how to translate.
“строчка” = “line” but it does not sound natural in the context.
“занимали” = “occupied” but it does not sound natural in the context.

Your first and foremost error is that you still try translating words.

Believe me, I am not trying to pick at you and I am not being mean when I tell you that you should translate CONCEPTS and not WORDS. Until you grasp this idea, your translations will continue sounding as though they were made by some translation software.

I have been thinking about the first paragraph and leaving out the phrases like "the year of" and "reached a level of". I also think "the most sold disk" sounds a bit weird so I replaced it with "highest selling disk".
Edit: "circulation" also sounds strange - I will cut that out too.
I think this sounds better.

It's the other way around. The Russian says that the success of the Carey's album is due to it being nominated so many times. A lot of nominations lead to a high chart position, capisci?

I said I think it is better, not perfect.

When you translate you can't put words in brackets. You have ot make a decision whether to put the words in or take them out.

Its like doing an exam and not knowing the answer, so you write two different answers instead of one.

You are trying to stick to the original text too much. You have some artistic freedom when translating. Remember the key is IT HAS TO SOUND GOOD IN ENGLISH. The level of language, tone, mood of the text must be mirrored in the target language.

At the top you said "In Russian they say 'In the year 2005'". No they do not say that!. They say 'In the 2005th year'. Are you gonna put that in your translation? No! You put 'In 2005'.

Becuase Мэрайи is the genitive of Мэрайя.

It is ambiguous. Are her singles more successful, or is there more of successful singles?

It's only ambiguous the way I lazily quoted it in isolation, it's not ambiguous at all in its original context.

You're welcome. Translations are hard to do; they require lots of practice and a sort of fluency in the target language that even some native speakers don't have. Hence, I can do reasonable translations from Russian->English, but my English->Russian translations are not good.
