As far as I know it is only American slang (i've only heard one person, a woman, british) use the saying "Hit it" and we laughed our heads off only because the fact she was from england and it sounded to funny to hear her say it (jokingly).
... but if it needs explaining, well then, I'll explain it. But please don't be a angry with me.
the term "to hit 'someone'" mostly spoken by males about females literally means "to have intimate relations w/ that person".

To get "with that"/ "with it" i also slang for having slept with someone.
Anyways, it may be rude in the wrong company (like any мат) but, it is some useful slang to know.
