Hi, need translation for short sentence please:

I'm working on an english poster that contains a line in russian which needs to say: 'Are you ready?'

    Does this read correctly?

    Thanks

    Generally it's correct.

The only thing I wish to add that that 'ли' particle is generally translated as 'if' or 'whether' in more complex sentences. It can't be translated here, though.

Он спросил нас готовы ли мы?
He asked us whether we were ready?

Thanks for the quick response Ramil. So if I use it as is it will not read incorrectly to a native Russian speaker?

    No. It won't.
    There is the alternative though:
    Вы готовы?
    (literally "Are you ready?")

depending on whether you adrress to a single person (your friend) or several persons, or a person you don't know the question can be expressed in this form:

Ты готов? / Готов ли ты? (Addressing to a single person whom you know rather well or whom you want to speak in imperative).

Вы готовы? / Готовы ли вы? (Adressing to multiple persons whom you may know and may not).

The question Готовы ли вы? I think feels more like
Are you sure you are ready?
The ли particle expresses some doubt.

Ramil, the correct word is "particle", not "participle".
«И всё, что сейчас происходит внутре — тоже является частью вселенной».
