I am a part of the world, the world that will go on with or without me, the world that will be forever affected by me.

The second part means that the world will always be influenced by you, you will always have had an effect on it.

To affect something means that you influence something or have an impact on something.

I've found in my dictionary that obsolete meaning of "affected by" is like this:

a novel much affected by our grandparents — роман, который так любили наши бабушки и дедушки


In the proper sense of the word ( influence, impact) the sentence doesn't make sense to me.
