Ok, I'm going to throw this out and see if I get any replies, cause I am at my wits end. I want to translate the following song into Russian. I already know the ryhthm, I just need the words translated.

"Holy and Annointed One"

Jesus, Jesus,Holy and annointed one, Jesus
Jesus, Jesus, Risen and exalted one, Jesus

Your name is like honey on my lips,
Your spirit like water to my soul.
Your word is a lamp unto my feet,
Jesus, I love you, I love you.

I didn't think I would get any replies. Now everybody probably thinks I'm some sort of wierdo. Oh, well, can't plese them all.

you might have more success if you said you had written this song for the love of your life, and then you could just subsitute the name )))

and sorry this is a bad translation - maybe more inspiration will come at dawn

It is good, but the "lamp" part could be better. The canonical Russian translation of the full psalm is: "(118-105) Слово Твое -- светильник ноге моей и свет стезе моей." As the path is not mentioned in the song, that line could be translated thusly: "Слово Твое -- светильник ноге моей". But this is hardly good for a song, though. At least I cannot imagine how it can be sung.
