    There was an interesting article about this in last month's American Heritage magazine. Seems pizza was food that was only eaten by the dirt poor in Italy (where it IS from) -- it was actually humiliating to have to eat it. And then it showed up in America and be came a huge hit and pizza industry exploded.

    I made some once, not certain how they turned out, but I'll stick with frozen ravioli for now.
