It's like if you called an American person a Native American (EI and Indian). There is nothign wrong with being a uzbek (as far as i know) but if u were a slavic person living among native uzbeks, and someone mistook you for one, well maybe it would be more of an insult to that person's intelligence, but still.

And it's also like, there is a guy from Boston and a guy from Alabama and then this guy from Australia comes along and says to them, "G'day Yanks!".

So what is the Russian word for "sexy" anyway?

If no suitable correlate exists, is there a good reason for this, such as a difference in openness about sexuality between Russian culture and more Western cultures like England, America and Australia?
