Thread: Search engines didn't help!

I had a Russian lady friend call me "Ti Zolotoy" tonight. She wouldn't tell me what it meant, and I didn't have much luck with standard search engines. Hoping someone can help me understand what it means!

golden is too direct of a translation
золотой can also be used in the meaning of "dear" as in "Ты мой золотой." (you are my dear)

If anyone has any suggestions for endearment terms, I'd appreciate it. I've looked up some, and every time I call her Nastenushka (Anastasia), she smiles and says it melts her. But there are so many different little sweet terms like that, I'm not sure which are the right ones!

I have no idea why Russians would think "рыбка" is a term of endearment, though...
