    If "degree" means PhD. then:

    Аспирантура длится как минимум шесть лет.
    "Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?

    Разве в аспирантуре сидят по 6 лет?
    Мне кажется, что речь идет о получении обычного университетского диплома.

    In any case there is no way for loan-translation of Еnglish noun-noun constructions.

    One more translation:
    Для получения степени ... учатся не меньше шести лет.
    "Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?

    A language tip for you:

    Why get worked up on trying to directly emulate a difficult / unknown construction in English when you can just rephrase to get almost exactly the same meaning:

    Degrees last a minimum of 6 years.
    A degree lasts a minuimum of 6 years.

    TATY, I think you might reconsider your post. Both sentences need some work. Degree work may last a min. of 6 years, but not a degree.

    Well ... ok... but as a beginner I have to ask

    Degrees last a minimum of 6 years.
    A degree lasts a minuimum of 6 years.

    So there's no translation of "degree courses" ?
    And what is the difference between диплом and степень?

    Thanks
    Rob

    To translate "degree courses" correctly we should know what it means in your country. It's strange that degree courses should last 6 years. In Russian higher education system we have a degree work, but it only lasts one year, normally during the last year of studying.

    Диплом = degree.
    Степень = higher degree.
    If my post contains errors of any kind, I'd appreciate anyone setting me straight.

    Different translations are possible depending on the situation.

    Usually university education is defined like "у него такой-то диплом" while "степень" is a scientific degree from PhD and higher (there is a system of scientific degrees in post-soviet countries).
