Dear, Time really flies and I have been back for almost a week. I am so glad that we met again. Since I got back, I have been looking at our photos almost everyday. There is something about you that deeply attracts me. You are someone who I love to think about everyday. I really miss you.

Ой, время уж бежит, и я вернулся через почти неделю тому назад. Я так рад что мы опять встретились. С того, я вернулся, я смотрел на наши фота большинство дней. У тебя есть что-то, что пленяет меня. Ты кто-то, о которей я люблю думать каждый день. Я очень скучаю по тебе.

I can understand what you wrote in russian.

That's good, but I can assure you had has at least some errors...

Darobot, it needs a lot of work.

Dear is probably Дорог/ой/ая или Мил/ый/ая plus Name, as in Dear Darobot. Not Oй anyway.

So I'll put myself on the line and propose this:

Дорогая Х,
Время-то бежит. Я вернулся уже неделю назад. Очень рад, что мы с тобой смогли встретиться. Смотрю на наши фотки почти каждый день. Вижу в тебе что-то, что меня очень привлекает/ очаровывает. Люблю каждый день мечтать о тебе. Без тебя мне очень скучно!

(или просто - Без тебя мне скууучно!)

This is a common phrase. I've heard it a few times.

Please allow me to highjack the thread, but please explain what is so wrong about mine. Is it just poor grammar?

Yes, I guess it's grammar, syntax, word choices. For example,

>я вернулся через почти неделю тому назад.
= I returned in almost a week ago.
Sounds similarly strange in Russian.
(use через for future time- Вернусь через неделю.)

seems to be a word missing

>на наши фота
фото does not decline. I have a feeling that people would be more likely to use фотки or фотографии.

>большинство дней
= the majority of days.

almost every day [two words]
= почти каждый день

А в чем проблема, что перевести?

Боже, время ЛЕТИТ, и я вернулся УЖЕ почти неделю назад. Я так рад,(comma!) что мы опять (ОК, лучше: СНОВА) встретились. С ТЕХ ПОР, КАК я вернулся, я смотрел на наши ФОТОГРАФИИ ПОЧТИ КАЖДЫЙ ДЕНЬ. В ТЕБЕ есть что-то, что МЕНЯ ОЧЕНЬ ПРИВЛЕКАЕТ (I personnally don't like "пленяет меня" but it's also OK). О ТАКОЙ, КАК ТЫ Я МОГУ думать каждый день. Я очень скучаю по тебе.

Ahh, thankyou. I wasn't as far off as I had originally feared. Some questions though:
1) What's this С тех пор, как, that I see?
2) I thought опять and снова were synonyms...
3) I could swear that бежит works... In my dictionary, it gives the example "время бежит" - Time flies.

Опять встретились & время бежит – both work OK.

"С тех пор, как" = "since"

I should really start using a different online dictionary. Mine said С того = since. Whats the difference between "с тех пор" and "с тех пор, как"?

Use "с тех пор" if the reference point in time has been already mentioned. Compare

С тех пор, как я сломал себе ногу, я хожу на руках.
В прошлом году я сломал себе ногу, и с тех пор я хожу на руках.

May be it'll be easier for you if I break the expression down:

"С"= preposition indicating the beginning of something, here = from
"тех" = those
"пор" = times (from "пора"=time)
"kak"=conjunctive, here = when

Neither Lingvo nor Multitran mark the stress in words... Or do they and I just don't see it?
