Ah. The idea is that there is about to be a charge of some hover-tanks (science fiction). They are charging a military post. There was just concluded an artillery battle between the two sides, in which all of the Soviet artillery guns were destoyed, and all of the Americans, except one. The American post has its back to a very large and deep Lunar crater, so the charge will come from on hundred and eighty degrees, the Soviet tank regiment attacking the post from all directions on the half-circle.

The Soviet colonel is giving his first officer final instructions for the charge.

The vulnerable part of American post presents itself to us as a semi-circle. Attack from all possible directions, evenly spread out. This will deny the last American big gun any easy targets.
