    please help me with a short letter

    hello:
    i'm sending a book to a friend's father and need some help writing a quick letter pa-russki. can someone translate:

    Dear Mr. Petrov:

    Your son, Boris, asked me to send you this book, The Immigrants, which he found among some old books here at the office.

    I hope you enjoy it!

    I would greatly appreciate help with this!!! I just forget what the correct word for 'send' is, or how to sign off at the end of a letter warmly, but not too informally, etc.
