    Pet dog names

Help me please, to name my new standard white poodle (biggest size poodle originating form Russia!)
He is white, is bound to be incredibly intelligent and athletic as all poodles are. I want a name that describes either his colour including the word snow eg. snow prince snow king or snowflake or others such as white mountain, white chief white anything that sounds romantic and pleasant to the ear, short enough so I don't feel silly yelling his name out !! I once had a samoyed named Cariza which was supposed to mean snow queen in Russian - I don't know if this is true, but would like something similar...dog lovers...to the rescue...PLEASE

Snow is Sneg. This doesn't sound very romantic or pleasant to the ear to me though. The adjective form is Snezhnij. That would be like Snowy (hmm, wasn't that Tin-Tin's dog's name?). Then of course Snezhinka, which means snowflake.

Снежок [snezhok] = snowball may be? It is not as long as Snezhinka and for me it sounds more "doggish".

yeah pronounced with a k, but spelled снег. So i guess if you transliterate it (i guess thats what its called) i would think it would be snek.

yes, the "transliteration" for г is g, makin его ego... wich we all know as the lovable cakes that pop out of our toasters. i think transliteration is crap, also becuase, in every other latin based language the J makes ya sound, but in english it makes a Dzh sound Дж. so i guess if you wanted to transliterize
    я думаю сегодня грустная.

Your transliteration isn't consistent throughout the sentence. By those rules it would be Ja dumaju segodnja grustnaja.
